Paris is increasingly becoming a cycling-friendly city with a comprehensive cycling plan aimed at transforming the urban landscape. The
2021-2026 cycling plan aims to create over 1000 km of cycling lanes, enhancing the
cycling ecosystem and infrastructure. Paris has been recognised as the most cycling friendly city in Europe,
with a score of 80.1 in a ranking of European cities for cycling compatibility. The city has doubled the use of bicycles in recent years, with a 11.2%
of trips now made by bike in the city. The Bike Plan includes plans for nearly 400 km of two-way bike paths by
2025, making Paris 100% bike-friendly by 2026. The city also offers a public bike-sharing service, Vélib ’Métropole,
with over 1500 stations and around 20000 bikes available for rent. These initiatives reflects Paris’s commitment to promoting cycling as a sustainable and efficient mode of transportation. |

Kuns word ook by fietsry betrek (of eerder: fietsry by kuns) en in heelwat gallerye of winkelvensters
